Iron chalcogenide superconductors at high magnetic fields.
Iron chalcogenide superconductors have become one of the most investigated superconducting materials in recent years due to high upper critical fields, competing interactions and complex electronic and magnetic phase diagrams. The structural complexity, defects and atomic site occupancies significantly affect the normal and superconducting states in these compounds. In this work we review the v...
متن کاملMagnetic excitations in iron chalcogenide superconductors.
Nuclear magnetic resonance and neutron scattering experiments in iron chalcogenide superconductors are reviewed to make a survey of the magnetic excitations in FeSe, FeSe1-x Te x and alkali-metal-doped Ax Fe2-y Se2 (A = K, Rb, Cs, etc). In FeSe, the intimate relationship between the spin fluctuations and superconductivity can be seen universally for the variations in the off-stoichiometry, the ...
متن کاملHigh-pressure studies on Tc and crystal structure of iron chalcogenide superconductors.
The superconducting transition temperature, Tc, in iron-based solids can be enhanced by applied pressure: Tc increases from 8 to 37 K for the 11-type FeSe when the pressure is raised from 0 to 4 GPa. High-pressure studies can elucidate the mechanism of superconductivity in such novel materials. In this paper, we present a high-pressure study of Fe(Se1-x Te x ) and Fe(Se1-x S x ). In the case of...
متن کاملSuperconducting properties of iron chalcogenide thin films.
Iron chalcogenides, binary FeSe, FeTe and ternary FeTe x Se1-x , FeTe x S1-x and FeTe:O x , are the simplest compounds amongst the recently discovered iron-based superconductors. Thin films of iron chalcogenides present many attractive features that are covered in this review, such as: (i) easy fabrication and epitaxial growth on common single-crystal substrates; (ii) strong enhancement of supe...
متن کاملFractional power-law behavior and its origin in iron-chalcogenide and ruthenate superconductors: Insights from first-principles calculations
We perform realistic first-principles calculations of iron chalcogenides and ruthenate-based materials to identify experimental signatures of Hund’s-coupling-induced correlations in these systems. We find that FeTe and KxFe2−ySe2 display unusual orbital-dependent fractional power-law behavior in their quasiparticle self-energy and optical conductivity, a phenomenon first identified in SrRuO3. S...
